Building A Wellbeing Box (And Giveaway!)

Building A Wellbeing Box (And Giveaway!)

Okay, I reeled you in with the title having ‘Giveaway’ in it, but I know what you’re thinking:

What is a wellbeing/self-care/self-sooth/mindfulness/safety box? It is a box that contains items that can help you feel more relaxed, reduce symptoms of low-mood or anxiety, and help you feel more grounded. It’s essentially a box of physical coping mechanisms. We hear a lot about changing the way we think and ways to cope mentally in your brain, but sometimes you need to physically feel or see something to help you feel better.

A wellbeing-box often contains something that triggers one of the five senses: Sight, Smell, Taste, Touch and Hearing. We’ll also be including items that centre around the 5 ways to wellbeing which are: Take Notice, Keep learning, Be Active, Give and Connect. The five ways to wellbeing is something that mental health charities in the UK as well as the government, are encouraging everyone to utilise and get involved with as the UK has less participation in the categories of the 5 ways than near-by countries such as Germany and France.
